Most trolling leaves a text trail. The L0DE Radio Hour left a broadcast signal. A live call-in show out of the IRC underground — chaotic, deliberately provocative, hosted by a pseudonymous ringmaster called L0de — that has run for so long it outlasted most of the platforms it started on, and eventually stopped bothering with the internet as a delivery requirement: shortwave hobbyists have logged it coming off pirate transmitters. It is the scene's id with a phone line, and the scene keeps calling in.

The show maintains its own site with a deep, dated episode archive — pages of broadcasts hosted at l0de.com — alongside a YouTube channel and a Patreon. Whatever else it is, it is durable: it owns its own distribution in a way most "content creators" never manage.

Shortwave pirate-radio hobbyists on the HFUnderground boards log the L0DE Radio Hour coming over 6969 kHz USB at 0113 UTC — "Weak but readable. Call-in portion of talk radio program," reports a listener in Toronto. An internet troll show, received off the ionosphere by strangers with antennas. That is commitment to the bit.

The case: the show's stock-in-trade is provocation, and its output is deliberately obscene by its own framing — this archive declines to quote it, which tells you something. And the LRHzine documents, in the crew's own words, retaliation that went far past radio: account takeovers, compromised servers, and a dox of a private individual and his family. Whatever the provocation, that landed on real people.
